Clay found this ice "fossilized" leaf in our backyard during the ice storm.










After 5 days, OUR POWER IS BACK!!!! What have I discovered?

1. I could NEVER have made it in the 1800s.
2. I no longer desire to have a "hotel" night.
3. I really do like going to see movies at a theater.
4. The customer service reps at Duke Power have virtually no clue what they are doing.
5. The guys who actually fix the stuff at Duke Power are really smart and they DO have a clue.
6. I wish my house were on the same circuit as Wal-Mart.
7. Power outages are can get expensive.....very quickly.
8. My parents really love us --- they've called continually to check on us, offer us a place to stay and my mom even did laundry so the kids would have PJs for school today and Ron would have pants for work!
9. I don't care too much for people who light up their Christmas lights when the rest of the neighborhood is in total darkness.
10. I am SOOOOO THANKFUL for power and that I HAVE IT AGAIN!
