Late Night Swim

Before he got to the games on Friday night, our friends, Keith and Sandy, who live in Charleston called Ron. They were in town at the Radisson on Friday night and wanted us to come over and let the boys swim with their son, Charlie. So, we ran by home and grabbed towels and swimsuits and then headed over there. The boys closed the pool down after a couple of hours swimming.

Funny, when we got to the pool, all these girls started yelling, "Mrs. Johnson...Mrs. Johnson!" One of the third graders was having a sleepover at the same hotel and they were swimming. Later on they came downstairs in their pjs, boas and oversized sunglasses....what a cute idea!

When Ben went to let Ron help him dry off, Charlie decided that Ron should help him, too.
Ben, Clay and Charlie loved swimming and playing, while Ron and I had a chance to catch up with Keith and Sandy. We've all been friends for years. Ron and Keith were high school friends and then he and Sandy started dating about a month before Ron and I. They got married in February of 1993 and then we married in July. Keith is also Clay's godfather, so they are very special to our family.

By 11:00, Charlie was asking to go to bed. Notice his blue lips when he got out of the pool.

Even though they live only a few hours away, we hardly ever get to see them. We're going to make every effort to go down to Charleston for a weekend this spring to visit them. (They were out of town on a cruise when were there in December.) Charlie is precious! And, very personable and articulate. He talks amazingly for a 3 year old.
