What I've Been Reading Lately

Ida B. by Katherine Hannigan - good middle grade story of a young girl coping with her mother's cancer and it's effect on the family.

(Let me forewarn you! I am suddenly into "series" books......I can't read enough of them!)

Sisterchick Series books by Robin Jones Gunn -- I LOVE THESE! I've read the Paris and Mexico books and now I'm reading Australia. I highly recommend these as they take realistic women and put them in friendship situations where they learn a whole lot about themselves and even more about God.

Yada Yada Prayer Book series books by Neta Jackson -- more inspirational "chick" lit, but it really looks at prayer and diversity among believers. Added bonus, it is set in my favorite place, CHICAGO!!! (With every book I find myself wanting to move to Chicago!) I LOVE THESE, TOO!

Diary of a Teenage Girl series by Melody Carlson -- I've read Chloe #1 and #2 (remember those sale books from Christian Supply?!) Great reading for teens (and adults). I'm thoroughly enjoying Chloe's experience of becoming a Christian and learning to use her musical gift. I goofed when I bought these, though, and got books 3 and 5 from Caitlin's series. So, I can't start it until I get 1 and 2.......

The Regime by Timothy LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins -- this is the 2nd book in the "Before they were left behind series". I'll be looking forward to the next one in June!
