Yesterday we decided to get out and have a little adventure. We drove to Chesnee and had lunch at the Bantam Chef. The Bantam Chef is owned by my late grandfather's cousin and he happened to be in there so I took a chance to introduce myself to him.
As a result, I learned a neat family story. David's father and my grandfather's father were brothers and their great-great-grandfather was Felix Walker, a Civil War soldier. As it turns out, he was captured in 1863, sent to a prisoner camp and never heard from again. Maybe that would be a neat story to do a little more research on and turn in to a story.
After lunch, we stopped by my grandfather's grave site to check on him.
