I know you've heard the country song before with the line, "I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean..." I did feel small when we were on the shore and when I got up each morning and looked out across the hotel balcony to the unending water and sand. It was a God-moment each day when I thought about how big HE is that HE is bigger even than the ocean HE created....WOW!
One night during small group we talked about reality -- how do we know that God is real, that the Bible is real....and I related to the girls that when I doubt, I just think about the ocean. It is wide, vast and almost unexplainable in human terms, but it exists.....And, that to me is God---HE's wide, HE's vast, HE's almost unexplainable, but HE is there and HE never goes away. HE is GOD! Seeing the ocean is, for me, a reminder to give God all of the thanks for this temporary world HE has created for me to live in and that HIS love is always there.
Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Psalms 136:2

I also love looking out into the ocean and remembering how AWESOME God is. He could literally stop the ocean from having waves if he wanted to. That is powerful as you spend a week at the beach and the waves are CONTINUALLY crashing no matter the time of day. God is very, very AWESOME. Thanks for the fantastic photo.
