Kenny Rocks...And So Does Dierks....And So Does Carrie...and So Does Uncle Cracker!

Thanks to my sister-in-law, Michelle, I got to go last night to the Kenny Chesney concert at the Bi-Lo Center. It was a terrific concert! Carrie Underwood started it out, then Dierks Bently took the stage where he did about 40 minutes worth, including "I'll Settle For A Slow Down" (which I love).

Finally, what we had been waiting on........Kenny!!!!! He started out with "Summertime" and he was at the soundbooth, which happened to be right in front of our seats! We got a great look at him and, I can now verify that, yes, he is as good-looking in person as he is on TV.

After about an hour of playing, he got ready to sing the one he does as a duet with Uncle Cracker and lo and behold, guess who comes out on stage?!??! Uncle Cracker himself! That was awesome because it was so unexpected. They did their duet, a couple of other Uncle Cracker songs (Carrie Underwood joined them for "Drift Away") and then teamed up on Kid Rock's "I Want To Be a Cowboy".....it was better than Kid Rock's version. All in all it was a VERY entertaining concert and I would definitly go see Kenny Chesney again...he puts on a great show.

It was afternoon before I could hear and my throat is still scratchy, but it was worth it!

(Blog Disclaimer: I am SO disappointed in myself! The last concert I went to didn't allow cameras and -- remember this Kim and Kristie? -- I had to figure out a way to get my camera in and not get it confiscated. So, last night, I took my older camera, the Sony, in case they kept it. Well, as it would be, EVERYONE had a camera with them and no one even cared. I missed some shots that would have been terrific with my Kodak. Oh well! I'll know next time!)

Hey, I think the photos on this post are amazing. How did you get the screens so clear in the darkness? No flash, long shutter?? I have problems with blurriness with I try to take night shots. I need pointers!! Not too fond of Kenny myself, but I would have loved to have seen Carrie, the AI junkie that I am.
