It has been a while since I have blogged, but it has been insanely busy around here! So, here is what the last two weeks have looked like:
Last Monday - Went to Total Ministries with the youth and worked. Packed the house for our move.
Tuesday - Packed to move.
Wednesday - went to the Soup Kitchen with the youth and worked. What an incredible experience! Brought three youth + my own kids home with me to help pack...yeah, right. I packed, they watched movies and bounced soccer balls off the roof of the house....
Thursday - Packed most of the day and spent the evening at the church for our "Missions for the Church" --- we helped out the Preschool and Children's Directors with various tasks. We also had a birthday party for Erin!
Friday - I worked at the church office, picked up Ron's old new car, got the keys to the new place....freaked out because the apartment was a HANDICAPPED apartment, got a discount on rent and got over it, packed some more, moved clothes and "special" items into the apartment.
Saturday - Picked up a U-haul and MOVED IN!! WOO HOO!!!! (A BIG, FAT THANK YOU to the Pi Kapps for moving all the big stuff, Shasta, Rachel and Michele for packing boxes, Nancy for packing up my kitchen -- you are awesome!, John for helping Clay with odd jobs, trash and unpacking, Erin for loading my table tiles to be washed, And, my parents for keeping Ben and bringing all of us much needed lunch!! And, Josh for helping move the 500 lb. entertainment center) Tragedies of the day: one broken tea cup, one broken picture frame, AND ONE BROKEN LEG ON MY PRIZED ENTERTAINMENT CENTER....HALLALUJAH, RON FIXED IT! Overall, it was a very successful move.
Sunday - Church, brought home three additional kids for the day (thank you Jesse, Rachel and Susan for all you did on Sunday afternoon), Church for The Mix/Dinner with the youth, brought FIVE additional kids home after church (thank you Jesse for putting together my bookshelf, Robin and Brian for helping Ron with all of the electronic stuff, Michele and Rachel for making us laugh! and for babysitting Ben and Maggie).
Oh, and in the process of all of this...I set up myspace pages for me and Ron. I must admit that the time I would usually put into blogging went into playing around on myspace...I still haven't figured it all out, but, hey, I have 10 friends!
Now, this week, we're settling in, this is also Wize 'N Up at church and I start back to school on Thursday (I have a move there, too....my room is going to another hall).
I have taken LOTS of pictures, but haven't gotten around to loading those on here. Watch for those, especially ones from Wize 'N Up this week.
