SPLAT!

I did it!!! After years of wanting to, and almost backing out today....I played PAINTBALL!!!! Do you know how much fun it was?!?!

I took 13 students, 1 parent and 1 uncle with me today and we headed out to Red Fox Games for a day of playing. I had no idea what I was getting into and had horrible dreams about it last night.....but, after the first course where Kaitlin and I pretty much hid behind bunkers together and listened to Rachel's instructions, I got the once in a lifetime opportunity ---- I got to shoot my own son! Clay was perfectly in my line of sight and I took it. After that, it was awesome! I eventually got to be "right hand woman" for one of our "expert" paintball players and I managed to walk out of every round I played without getting hit, except one....the very last one. I got shot twice at the same time. Okay, and I got shot in the leg at lunch by Josh and his slingshot.
Paintball was a little like being in a real life war video game. I've always wished (I know this is a little kooky to think about for those of you that know me) that I had gone into the Navy and so, this was as close to the military as I'll ever get. I loved the thrill.

The only downside to today -- IT WAS HOT! (Phone, Michelle: Uh, can you tell everyone we need to go play again? )

The ladies are ready to go!

The worst part was the masks. They were hot and you can't breath in them. Clay and Warren wore theirs to get paint in the gun.

Charlie's Angels....Um, Yeah.....Kaitlin and Rachel look like pros!

Taking a break: Michelle, Rachel and me.

Josh....A paintball pro........

Me....NOT a paintball pro........

That's awesome! I've always wanted to do that too. Maybe I'll go the next time Jason takes a group. Is it like getting stung by a bee?
