Good Weekend

After a couple of weeks of being busy with school stuff, tired and stressed out, this was actually a pretty good weekend....even though......

On his way home from work Friday, Ron and I were talking when he suddenly had to get off the phone because his power steering went out. After three days, a half dozen or so trips to Advanced Auto and lots of praying, it appears that Ron has fixed the car himself. With Clay's help, of course. Please remember to pray this week that the problem is fixed and that we don't have any future problems.

So, back to the good weekend, part. On Friday night, we met our friends, Janis and Michele (Michele was one of our youth this summer and Janis is her mom that we have gotten to be friends with) at Pizza Hut for dinner. This is becoming a little tradition for us!

On Saturday, we ran some errands and had a big family breakfast, before Ron returned to the car and I worked on laundry and we all pitched in to clean the apartment. (Have I said lately how much I love this place?) I read while we watched the Clemson game and then some of our youth (Michele, Staci, Robin, Brian and Brian's friend, Todd) came over for a game night. We played several rounds of PopCulture Trivial Pursuit.... I am sad to say Robin and Todd knew more than all of the rest of together!

Then, this morning, since we are serching for where God wants us and plans to use us, we visited the church where Clay goes to scouts.. (I have a post back in February, I think, about the church on Scout Sunday.) We really like it and were very reached by the pastor's sermon and the service in general. We look forward to visiting again next week, as Clay will be doing his Eagle project in conjunction with the church for the next month or so.

I hope this is a prelude to a wonderful week.
