Okay, here is the story that I alluded to last night about Clay's Eagle Board of Review. We took Clay and his friend, Ryan, who was supposed to present his project. We got there and were told that they didn't have Clay's paperwork. Last week, it was decided that our "area" (Boiling Springs/Inman) would start having their own BORs. Starting this week.......the problem, no one contacted us to let us know that the date of Clay's BOR had changed to Thursday night. Here I had missed class to attend and, more importantly, Clay had prepped himself.
Being the mama who does not take "NO" for an answer, I chased the Director down in the parking lot (I think he thought I was a crazed lunatic carjackerk or something) and told him that we had a problem. He came back to work, found the copy of the paperwork and approved for the review team to go ahead and do Clay's. As I told him in the parking lot, "my son is having his Board of Review tonight if you or I have to do it." I was not a happy mama. But, they worked with us and I left all smiles with lots of accolades for Clay.
The review group was fabulous! They were very impressed with Clay and let us know. The first comment we heard when we walked in the room was "May we clone your son throughout the district" and "our world needs more young men like Clay". They were extremely impressed with Clay's skill at his young age......of course, they learned what we've known for the last 12 years! They repeatedly told us what a "special" son we have. Of course, we already knew that :)
