Tonight was Clay's spring band concert at school. Unfortunately, he has "silver eye" in most of the pictures....but the concert was really good, with one little exception. The 8th grade band did the music from "Pirates of the Caribean" and during it, two of the students were dressed as pirates....cute, right? It was. Except the fact that one of them was a bottle carrying, swig-drinking pirate! What message did that send to an auditorium full of 12-14 year olds? I thought that was bad judgement call on behalf of the band directors.
The music, though, was excellent!
