Yesterday I had my first interview in Columbia at a very nice elementary school. It was tucked into a beautiful neighborhood off of Devine Street. I think it went very well, but we'll see. On my way, though, I had a call from another school "The Carolina Center for Inquiry", a magnet school, for an interview next Thursday. And, today I had a call from a public Montessori school for a Curriculum Resource Teacher position. The education market looks promising!

It worked out that Ron had to go to Charleston for the day to work, so he met me in Columbia after my interview. We had dinner at Palmetto Pig (yummy!) and then headed over to see the new apartment we'll be moving into....which is shaping up to be very nice! And, we were pleased. Now, if they would just get open so we could get moved :)

Our soon-to-be home...don't you just love the arch and brick?!?! As you can tell, we also sort of have two porches...our real porch and then the outside porch in front of the window.
The colors of the community are awesome! Very Charleston. Of course, our building is khaki, but the one across the way is blue and the clubhouse and other buildings are green. They make for a colorful and neat place.
Okay, the name is The Haven at Windsor Lake...hence, I didn't catch on that there really is a lake on the property! Its not a boating lake but still very beautiful. They are in the process of building a large gazebo overlooking it and I can't wait to sit out there, watch the boys fish and read!!!!
