And then, zzzzz, krrkrrrr, zzzzz, krrkrrrr, zzzz.......shoosh (you gotta love my sound effects!).....total darkness. The power went out. Right as I was taking a picture!

We finally got it together and called Ron so he could look up the SCE&G number from work and call them to report, found two flashlights and remembered that we have several candles (after the people upstairs called over the banister to Clay asking if we had any matches) to light. Then, nothing. Silent. Dark. Nothing. My phone did ring when my friend Julie called! When she found out we were powerless she offered for us to come stay at their house. Thankfully, it came on while she and I were chatting about our boys and school.

And, now, again I have lights. I have TV (if I wanted to watch it). I have Internet. And, most importantly, since I live in the hottest place on earth.....I have A/C!!!
(just in case you are asking yourself, "I thought Dobby was a class pet, why is he still at home?"...we're having a little trouble with transitioning Dobby from home pet to class pet. We, even Maggie most days, really like the little guy and enjoy having him around! So, I'm not sure when---read between the lines "if"---he's going!)
