My class just finished reading a book a couple of weeks ago and the teacher in the book banned the word "bored" from her class...declaring it a "bad word". Well, some of my class decided to adopt that as well and they remind students who say they are "b-o-r-e-d" that its a bad word and don't say it in class.
Well, today, I am b-o-r-e-d. My b-o-r-e-d-o-m started this past weekend when I fell asleep watching the Gamecocks play...I never do that! I chalked it up to a long, tiring week. Then Sunday I woke up kind of tired and achy so I stayed in bed until almost noon and was back in bed by 2:30. Felt terrible all day and night....stomach ache, head ache, etc. Called in on Monday and stayed at home on the couch. It was nice. For the day. I felt better by night and went to school on Tuesday. By lunchtime my entire body ached, my head was pounding and cold chills....brrr....I came home that afternoon and got on the couch and slept. Ron checked my temp around 9, it was 103! Our dear friend, Julie, had sent a thermometer and tylenol and motrin for me. So I began taking the meds and he called our director to let her know. Wednesday, I wake up and continue alternating the tylenol and motrin and by lunch, fever gone! I stayed on the couch all day anyway and by mid-afternoon, the fever was back up again to 101....what?!?! (I tried watching TV yesterday to entertain myself, but I am so not a TV watcher....it managed to iritate me and I just couldn't find anything interesting. I bet I started five movies and only watched one. ) By bedtime, the fever was back down to normal.
Well, I e-mailed an update to our director and she tells me that she'll get a sub for today, too. School policy is you can't return until 24 hours after you last have a fever. So, I get to take today off, too.
I'm up, I feel tons better and tonights the BIG GAME (that Ron's fraternity brother sent us tickets to!) and I am at home. B-O-R-E-D.

Melanie,
I'm so glad you feel better! Will you get to go to the game? I hope it doesn't get rained out...I can't wait! Goooooo Gamecocks!! I'm still trying my best to talk Craig into going to one - Mikayla said last week I want to see the real "Cocky" meaning "in person"! I'll have to check the website for a schedule to see when their next home game is - we would have to come on a Saturday! Have fun watching them (either in person, or on TV), we will be cheering with you!
