"SO"ul Mates

Just like penguins find their one true mate for life, I found Ron! And, in fitting manner, when he introduced himself to me, the first thing I said to him was, "so" (and then I walked away). Oh, if I had only known!

Funny enough, though, I still remember what he was wearing and where he was standing the first time I saw him....he had on jeans and an Alaska sweatshirt and was leaning over the loft ledge of the apartment. SO (pun entirely intended!), I guess we were meant to be "so"ul mates from that moment on :)

That was in December of 1991 and I didn't see him again until September of '92. We started dating the next month, got engaged in March, broke it off in May and then I asked him to marry me (hahaha!) on the way home from his grandmother's funeral at the end of June. We got married one week later........14 years ago today!

Celebrating at the lake

We headed up to Aunt Kim and Uncle Leonard's house at Lake Wylie on Saturday afternoon to celebrate Zach's graduation. We had a wonderful time playing at the lake beach, eating Uncle Leonard's ribs and pork and just hanging out with family. Ben and Clay had a great time swimming in the lake.

Ben convinced Becky, Aunt Kim's sister to take him off on the jet ski.
