The Funnest Part of the Trip, Besides the Ocean! :)

Next to walking on the beach, the BEST part of this trip for me was the "KISS Coffeehouse"! Who would have thought it?!?! There is actually a KISS-themed coffeehouse at Broadway at the Beach. The outside has giant props (one actually breaths smoke out its nose), huge flatscreens showing videos and concerts and inside has KISS memorabilia, loud KISS music and, yes it has coffee. I, of course, had to have a karamel "rockucuinno" (think Starbucks frap). It was really, really good!

We did ask and it isn't owned by the band members, but by a BIG (obviously!) fan.....though, all but one band member has been in....it was AWESOME! It made us want to "Rock and Roll All Night"!

The boys rockin' at the first boot (this one sends out smoke, you just can't see it in the picture)

Me at the second boot with my rockuccino!

Inside the coffeehouse...boots worn in the concert by the band.

The Bride of Frankenstein...or Something Like That!

In this family, the things we experience never cease to amaze me! After our dinner at The Salty Nut, we drove down to the parking area in Five Points and as we turned, Ron says, "look someone's getting married," and points to the fountain.
Me: "Um..Ron, I don't think she's getting married. I'm not exactly sure what she's doing."

Clay and Ben: staring intently out window.

Me: "Oh, she's a statue!"

This was just too much for us! We had to park and go check her out.
She was a statue with a money jar in front. When someone placed money in her jar, she gave them a flower and then changed positions. Here she is giving Clay his flower and changing how she was standing, as you can see in the next picture. ( I felt guilty talking pictures without making a donation!) Her "caretaker" (at least we assume that is what he is) took a picture of all of us with her and then told us this was a form of "mime"....we still think it was some kind of pyschological experience.
Needless to say, it was an experience.....not unlike the unique things we are ALWAYS finding ourselves experiencing.
