Annie Update

On our way home from the shelter with our new girl.

Annie is now finally at home! And, her story has changed somewhat......she ended up not having to have girl surgery yesterday. She had already had it. We took her straight to Dr. Eric, whom she loved. He's not entirely sure that it is a torn ligament, but maybe an old fracture. He wants us to feed her good and love on her for two weeks and the re-examine to see if surgery will be necessary. He is a little worried about a growth on her eye and it might eventually have to be removed. Dr. Eric also informed us that our new "baby" isn't a baby after all....she's actually about 8-10 years old! We adopted a senior citizen!

First task: Bath! Check out the filthy bath water!

While Annie got her first bath, nosy girl, Maggie came to check out her new sister!

When she got home, we gave her a good old scrub down! It was amazing how much dirt was on that sweet girl. Clay took Annie upstairs to sleep with him last night and sometime during the night, Maggie snuck out of my bed and went up there. She hopped on Clay's bed and nudged Annie onto the floor. Annie, of course, hopped back on the bed (which isn't easy thanks to her leg) and nudged Maggie off. Clay had to "send Maggie to her room"! Now, Maggie follows Annie everywhere and poor Annie just thinks she's a pest. She's a good girl and seems to like her new home. Best of all, unlike Maggie, she seems to knows WHERE to use the bathroom!

Is Annie a Boston Terrier or a Hyena?!?!
