Black Friday

I am proud to say that I was up at 4:30 this morning and by 5:20, I had a cappuccino and was waiting in the line at Target. I must say that it was a wee bit cold, but as always on this day, I made friends with the people in line around me and we passed the time. (It turns out the woman behind me is the sister of one of Ron's fraternity brothers from Clemson....how is that for a small world?!)

Was I successful when they opened the doors at 6 a.m.? You betcha! I was there to get some of Ben's Christmas gifts for my mom and, luckily for me, none of them were from electronics. I got the items for her, sheets for us, and the new Kenny Chesney CD. I was a proud shopper!

From Target, I ventured to Eckards (I know....that is a strange one for Black Friday) for a gingerbread house kit, and then the mall.....where I finished all but 2 (yes that is right.....2!!!!) gifts on my list. I even finished my Christmas gifts and most of Ron's for my mom! (She is the luckiest woman in town.....she got all the great deals without ever leaving her home.)

Later in the afternoon, the boys and I went and bought toiletries and pjs for our trip and groceries. It was quite a day!
