Little Orphan Annie

While checking the Humane Society website this morning we discovered they had just gotten in a Boston Terrier. So, we went over there and ended up adopting a new "dogger" to join our family. She came in from a "found her wandering and no one claimed her", so she didn't have a name. The boys decided they liked Annie since she's a little orphan and her coat has a reddish tint to it. She's having "surgery" and we will pick her up on Monday afternoon.

Annie is about four years old. She needs a good bath and LOTS of love. We took Maggie over to meet her and they sniffed around each other, but showed no animosity or dislike.

The people at the Humane Society think we're nuts, I'm sure! We're out in the play yard and I'm snapping pictures. Then I had them go get her out of her holding cell so that we could take a Christmas card picture of the boys with Annie and Maggie in the lobby....I'm guessing this was a first.

Next week, we're taking Annie and Maggie back for Santa pictures. If you are looking for a good place to do Santa pictures for pets, kids, whomever (you don't have to bring a pet), check out the Humane Society. http://www.spartanburghumanesociety.com The pictures are great and they are $15 a package with several packages to choose from, and this year, they will give you a disk of your poses with the purchase of a package. Its a great deal, the folks are awesome and it supports a great cause. (Oh, this isn't from what they told us today, by the way, we took Ben and Clay a few years ago with our guinea pigs and it was the best Santa pictures we'd had done).
