Friday Night Lights

Last night, we travelled to Clover to see the Clover High School Blue Eagles in the second round of playoffs. They defeated the Flora (anybody else never heard of Flora High School?!) Falcons 34-17. Ron's cousin, Zach, plays offense for the Blue Eagles....and now, they have advanced to the next round of playoffs and next weekend, I guess we'll be in Clinton. They also made history, for the first time in almost 30 years, the team advanced to this level of playoff action!

It was so good to see Kim, Leonard and, of couse, Zach! The boys were very excited about going to see "Cousin Zach" and Ben had told everyone that he was going to the game. We tailgated in the parking lot and then enjoyed the game. And, it was an enjoyable game....unlike last week in Boiling Springs, everyone actually sat in their seats and didn't tromp over people all night!

The boys LOVE their cousin, Zach!

Ron, Melanie, Harolyn, Zach, Clay and Aunt Kim. Ben's in front and that's Uncle Leonard hanging out in the back.

Now, for the bad news.....Somehow this morning while transferring files to the computer, I managed to corrupt one side of my memory stick. Evidently this was a VERY bad corrupt. My "magic" recovery software that has always worked before, wouldn't even revive the pictures. So, instead of the 40 pictures I took before, during and after the game, I ended up with about 12 pictures after the game. I had a couple of great shots of the team coming on the field and of Clay and Ben in the stands....oh well.

We tailgated before and after the game --- Aunt Kim makes a mean gumbo!
