Awards and Wrestling

Ben has just received his Principal's Honor Roll Award.

My principal graciously found me a sub this morning so that I could run down to the cafeteria for Ben's 1st grade awards program. He was excited to see me and was thrilled to receive two certificates. 1) Math Fast Facts Award -- this means he made a "100" on his timed addition facts test 2) Principal's Honor Roll Award -- he had an "A" in each subject for the second nine weeks. WAY TO GO BEN!!

Afterschool he had his first day of wrestling practice. Can you believe Ben is going to wrestle? Actually I think it is going to end up being more fun and games, but the coach assures us that even at this age they can begin competing. I don't know if we'll go that far, but for now, its some much needed excercise for Ben. I stopped by today while they were warming up and stretching. In his words, he had a "blast".
