Oh What a Saturday!

What a busy Saturday this has been! Ron is out of town until tomorrow and today was the first day of Merit Badge College for the scouts. I was supposed to take Clay and four other scouts to the church this morning (which meant I had to get up at 6:30...yuck). When we got there, we were met by five other scouts and the news that a scoutmaster is supposed to stay the entire time......no scoutmaster showed up for our group. We finally got it worked out that I would stay until they were in their classes and then come back to make sure everyone got picked up.

In the meantime, Ben and I went to the gym, got groceries and had a quick lunch at Wendy's, because he had to be at a birthday party at 12 at the Swim Center. Well, I dropped him off and hurried back to the church for the 12:30 dismissal. Finally, at 1:00 the last parent of our group picked up their child. And, it was back to the party.

When we got home, I took a quick trip to my friend, April's house to see the new baby, Chloe (see earlier post). I got home just in time for my mother-in-law to call and see if I could come pick her up from the airport. She'd been in Texas visiting Ron's sister and brother-in-law and came home a day early. She couldn't reach his dad to pick her up.

Now, we're FINALLY home to stay for the evening (or, at least we think so). Hopefully, the rest of the night will be a little more restful.
