A while back Ben told us that during Good News Club at school he had said "the prayer", but he wasn't ready to be (in his words) bab-a-tized (we think it is too cute to correct him with actually saying baptized). So, tonight, while we were at church for a meeting, we were talking and he said he was ready. I told him that he needed to talk to Mark, our preacher, who had just walked past us. Running, Ben took off down the hall after him, "Preacher Mark! Preacher Mark!"
Mark, of course, always has time for everyone and he stopped to talk to Ben and Ben told him, "I want to be bab-a-tized." They talked on for a few minutes, Ben explained he had asked Jesus into his heart at Good News Club a while back and now he was ready. He'll be going down this Sunday and then actually getting bab-a-tized in March. (Probably the second Sunday night due to a church anniversary celebration the first Sunday night.) We immediatley went to find Ron who was working on the computers for the new lab to share the news with him.
We are SO PROUD of our Ben! We've always loved him and now we are thrilled that we'll be able to spend all of lives and all of eternity with him. WE LOVE YOU, BEN!

I'm so excited for you and especially for Ben! I await the day, Lord-willing, that I get to watch Philip get bab-a-tized!
