Winter Jam!

As a family Valentine's present and birthday celebration for Ron, we went to Greenville last night and had dinner at our favorite pizza joint, Barley's and then headed to the Bi-Lo center for this year's Winter Jam concert. What an awesome event this has become! Newsong started this ten years ago as an inexpensive way for everyone to hear Christian bands, but most importantly to hear about Christ. Last night was no exception! There were over 15,000 people in attendance (several hundred couldn't even get in the doors) and over 200 committments to Christ!! How amazing is that?!?!

While going out to the Toby Mac table for Clay to spend his Valentine's money from Nannie and Poppie, we stopped at the WLFJ table to meet Kristen and Rob from the morning show. We told them how much we enjoy listening to them on our way to school.

The bands this year weren't quite as exciting as last year....Tait was missing! But, The Newsboys were good and ZOEgirl was excellent. Of course, the show stopper was TOBY MAC! Even Ron, who doesn't just love Toby Mac, admitted that he was the best part of the show.

We had a blast! If I can figure out how to post video clips, I'll post one of Newsong and Toby Mac....I'm still learning how to use my camera and a lot of pictures didn't come out very good, especially ones where I tried zooming in.

About half way through Ben got tired and fell asleep. He definitly woke up to hear Toby Mac, though!
