Spring Break

Ron and Maggie on spring break.

This has probably been the most boring spring break ever! I can honestly say that I have no clue where the week went.....it was that fast.

It started with IMPACT last weekend and here is the run down since then:

Sunday - We went to church and later that evening I went to the Phi Mu business meeting (I am their new advisor). Clay's friend Ryan spent the night.

Monday - I read ALL DAY while Ron worked on merit badges with Clay and three other scouts. Clay and Ryan spent the night with Tyler. Ben put up his pup tent to use as a bed/game chair.

Tuesday - I read ALL DAY (again!). Clay, Ryan and Tyler went to work with Tyler's dad (he's a manager for Chuck E. Cheese). We find out (about 5 p.m.) that God was really watching over our son (and his friends that day).....on the way to work that morning, Tyler's dad's car was rear-ended by an 18 wheeler and pushed into the car in front of it. Praise the Lord, all four of them walked away without a scratch and believe it or not, the car was still drivable. How is that for God's protection?

Tyler, Clay and Ryan

That night, Clay and Tyler spent the night at Ryan's.

Wednesday - I had a meeting with the Phi Mu chapter president. We went to church and saw an awesome video about Michael Tait. Clay came home and Ben is still in the tent!

Thursday - Cleaned the house FINALLY! Took Clay for his football physical -- can you believe spring training starts Monday?!! Ron had an interview with a company in Greenville.
Ron and I enjoyed a quiet dinner at Moe's.......

Friday - Enjoyed my last "school" day of Spring Break. After sleeping in I met the Phi Mu chapter consultant (who was visiting the chapter here) and Sarah, a chapter member, for lunch. When I got home, we took the boys to the outlets to buy Clay a couple of pairs of shorts from Aeropostale (he's such a teenager already). An hours or so after we got home, Ron's mother called that Ron's aunt had passed away.

Saturday - Today, I read Sarah's Song by Karen Kingsbury. I love her books an just picked this one up at the library last week, and here is the funny part, it was set in Greer and Spartanburg! That was pretty cool.

What else did I read this week?

The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Real by Neta Jackson - As with the others....Great!

The Novelist by Angela Hunt - I LOVE Angela Hunt! Her work is so creative, different and thought-provoking. This novel held true to her typical goals. I highly recommend it.

I started The Covenant by Beverly Lewis but found it too dry for my taste and ended up stopping after a couple of pages.
