What a great day! After lunch, our friend Kristie and her son, Levi, came over to our neighborhood pool. While the boys had a blast playing in the water, the three of us sat around and chatted about everything --- summer, hiking, swimming, school, and more school --- even in the summer it isn't far from teacher's minds. Actually, Kristie is a literacy coach and she has some fabulous ideas that I can't wait to use next year in my classroom.
It was so relaxing to sit out in the sun, well, it wasn't completely sunny today, but deceptively cloudy. Clay, Ben and I all managed to get sunburned....suffice it to say that we really are "red-necks" right now!
We had so much fun, we're going to try and do this again tomorrow!
