I had a wonderful opportunity to join the Palmetto Pearls Red Hat Chapter and the women of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church for a lunchtime tea. It was a wonderful time and Sande, the chapter Queen, and her ladies did an outstanding job!
The food was fabulous and the speaker, Angie Wolfe, was phenomonal. She used the "woman at the well" story to illustrate how important it is that we put God first and let Him be in control, and opening ourselves up as Christians. The very first comment she made was that God had brought each of us to the tea today for a very specific reason known only to Him. How totally true that is......we were supposed to be in Clemson today to tailgate for homecoming, but because of Clay's scout outing, decided to stay home. I took a chance on Thursday night by e-mailing Sande to see if she still had tickets. She told me to "come on"! And, I walked away knowing that I had been where I was supposed to be.

Here I am with Sande and one of her lovely Palmetto Pearls. (Sande is the one with all the feathers.....she loves to dress up!)
The best part of being a red (or pink) hatter is meeting all of the neat ladies out there. In God nothing is by chance, and I am so thankful for the wonderful women that He has placed in my path. Sande, the Palmetto Pearl Queen, is one of those women. She is always such an inspiration with her sweet and upbeat attitude and her passion for God and life.....I know she's reading, so, thank you, Sande...I am so glad to have you as a friend!

Sande's sister, Leigh (in the middle) is a Pampered Chef Consultant and she definitly pampered us with some fabulous treats today! Sande is the red hat on the right and on the left is Winnie Corn, Queen of the Sparkle City Red Hatters.
