I haven't really updated lately on what the boys have been up to, but you can guarante they have been BUSY!!
Clay joined the junior high's wrestling team, so he is now practicing five days a week with the team. They are getting ready for the first match with another school the week after Thanksgiving. He's also finished his Eagle project and is waiting to turn in his paperwork. He just completed his 31st (I think) merit badge -- Geneology -- and at the end of wrestling season he will have another one for Sports. Clay is still playing the trumpet in the school band. He's waiting to find out what chair he will be for the trumpet section.
Ben is also wrestling with a local wrestling club for elementary students. He has been at it for about two weeks now. (You might remember he wrestled a while last winter.) He won't be competing for a while though because he will start playing Upward Basketball after Thanksgiving and we've told him no wrestling competitions until after Basketball is over. Ben is also working really hard to learn his Bible verses for AWANA'S at church. He has earned his first patch and his crown and first red jewel. I am so amazed at how he remembers the verses. He's also in the Good News Club on Thursdays at school and recently their verse was one he learned a couple of months ago at AWANA'S and knew it exactly.
As you can see, there is never a dull moment around here! Somebody is always doing something!
On a side note, its even busy for me! I just got word from Spartanburg Community College this week that they would like for me to teach two sections of "Reading" again for the spring semester!
